One of the most significant ways this plays out is when you see a financial need in your community, decide to take part in funding it and invite your spiritual community to join you in fulfilling it. One of the defining features of Origins Community is our giving culture. We love to give and love the way we give. Every church community encourages the spiritual practice of giving, but Origins is unique in that we encourage you to give your normal tithe and offerings directly to campaigns created by members of Origins.

When you give through one of our giving campaigns, 100% of your donation goes directly to a need or cause that is sponsored by one of our members.

In the past, like other religious organizations, we’ve operated with a centralized giving structure. That is, people gave to the organization and we chose how to best use those funds and what good things to give to. To promote decentralization and autonomy, we’ve created a new giving culture that allows our members to promote things that are meaningful to them from within their own communities.
